The Landmine University Certification Course is a two-day educational experience designed for Coaches, Trainers, Strength Coaches, and fitness professionals looking for a functional alternative to traditional Olympic lifting. Hosted at Tiger ATX in Austin, Texas, this hands-on certification teaches the complete Landmine University system, combining strength training principles, athletic development, human movement, and practical coaching application into one comprehensive weekend. Created by Alex Kanellis, Landmine University was developed after years of working alongside functional fitness coaches and studying human locomotion, movement mechanics, and modern athletic preparation. Inspired by concepts such as the Spinal Engine Theory, the system evolved into a unique training methodology centered around the relationship between the barbell and the landmine attachment. The result is a training system that allows coaches to develop strength, power, coordination, athleticism, and movement efficiency without relying solely on traditional Olympic lifting progressions.
