Our team is made up of experienced professionals with a passion for fitness and a dedication to helping other Coaches succeed. Our Founder, Alex Kanellis, has over a decade of experience in the industry and has been recognized as a leader and innovator in the Strength Training world. CEO, Junior Leoso, has been a Coach and gym owner for almost 20 years. Our certified Coaches come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of expertise in areas such as team sports development, personal training, and strength & conditioning.
At Landmine University, we pride ourselves on keeping things as simple and effective as they can be. We are committed to delivering courses, clinics and education that meet the unique needs of our current and future coaches, while providing exceptional customer service, and being a support system for them all. Our focus on functional strength training has led us to implement short workshop options, to serve as an entry-level education piece, while also providing a fun and engaging workout.

Alternative to Traditional Lifts
While Traditional Olympic lifts have long been a staple in strength training, we recognize that they may not be suitable for everyone. Our program offers trainers and coaches an alternative perspective, introducing them to a diverse range of exercises that target specific muscle groups and movement patterns. By incorporating Functional training principles, we focus on enhancing overall strength, stability, and mobility, enabling individuals to achieve their fitness objectives in a safe and effective manner.

In addition to our workshops and courses, we also offer a two-day certification course to teach other coaches how to run the system and workshops themselves. This course provides coaches with a thorough understanding of our system and teaches them how to create and deliver effective workouts using our equipment. Upon completion, coaches are certified to run our workshops and deliver high-quality training to their own clients.

This has led to many publications like Men's Health, or podcast opportunities like with Mark Bell. However, our greatest achievement is the positive feedback we receive from our Coaches. Alex Kanellis
At Landmine University, I combine my experience as a former college football player with my knowledge of strength training to help others maximize their potential. My mission is to help people break through their limitations and achieve their fitness goals.I have been featured in Men's Health magazine, Podcasts, and other news outlets for my pioneering approach to strength training and my commitment to inspiring and motivating my clients. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, I will work with you to develop a customized plan that will help you reach your goals.
Junior Leoso
Landmine University is a strength training program being taught by Coaches all over the world, including Junior Leoso who has been a gym owner and coach for over 20 years. His goal is to help other coaches and athletes learn how to properly use the Landmine University system to maximize their performance. At Landmine University, you will learn not only how to use the landmine, but also the science behind it and how to incorporate it into your existing training program. We provide hands-on sessions, online coaching and seminars to help you reach your goals and feel confident in your training.
